Dough success!

It finally happened! I got that very elastic, soft, and yeasty dough which rose beautifully in the oven. Although baking pizzas in the 90 degree weather probably wasn't the best idea, it was definitely worth it. More salt and olive oil for the dough next time.

Die, Mosquitoes, DIE

God, one of the worst parts of Seoul summers is the mosquitoes. They somehow only come out when you turn off the lights and snuggle up with your blanket. Once I switch on the light to catch them, they disappeaer. Then after lying there with the light on for ten minutes, I go back to bed, and as soon as I turn off the light, they come out again and buzz around my ears. UGH.

So people have created an electric mosquito swatter ... I actually use this all the time.

New Vision

Wow, I skipped an entire month of blogging :(

I recently got LASEK, one of two major types of corrective eye surgery. It was quite a new experience, obviously getting my eyes sliced and lasered. The operation itself was completely painless, but the couple of days after were pretty painful -- just imagine chopping onions all day long. It's been a full week now since the operation and I can mostly see clearly, with no pain but some fluctuation in the clarity throughout the day. Apparently it can take up to a month for the vision to stabilize. I'm hoping for 20/20 here ;)

No more glasses or contacts for me!
